I Found Peace and a New Body!

A new experience beyond my wildest expectations is how I can sum up my journey with Sherry and David at their Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center dba Back to Eden in Plant City, Florida. This has been a life-changing gift that my husband (Jim) and I will continue for the rest of our lives.

My very best friend, Linda, who has always been an alternative medicine and health conscious person, had been wanting to explore better eating solutions and had heard that there was a campus somewhere in North Carolina.   Given my many health issues – survivor of lung cancer, lupus, high cholesterol, hypothyroid condition, overweight, and definitely overworked and overstressed, I was looking forward to help. As Linda and I progressed through our week at Back to Eden, I found peace and a new body!

Sherry and Dave’s Lifestyle Center is a wonderful and beautiful campus to soak up the knowledge to make a positive life changing difference not only in improving your health but giving you the strength and conviction to carry the word of God and the Health Ministry to so many, truly, in need.  And the friendships forged with those sharing the experience will be life-long.  

When I began my journey I weighed in at 178 with boarder-line blood sugar and cholesterol over 240 … within a month of eating God’s way, all of these fell within acceptable ranges and the wonderful side effect was the weight loss of 20+ pounds!! My doctor visit for routine blood work, that was scheduled prior to the decision to attend the week-long Back to Eden school, was surprised and elated at the results … expressing “What have you been doing?  All of your levels are so improved from the last visit!”   When I told him what I was doing he was very supportive and said keep it up and we will continue to monitor you to be sure your protein levels, etc. continue to improve – not only have they improved but after 15 years of being on thyroid medication, my thyroid has begun to function again and the doctor has steadily reduced the medication – looks like by the end of 2006 I should be able to not have to take any meds at all!!  Also, I have always had extremely dry and flakey skin, hair dry (I could go weeks without washing it and no one would know) but that has all changed too … I  have soft, non-flakey arms and legs, my hair has sheen (now requiring washing every few days) and believe it or not … I do not have to use any deodorant and I perspire very little where before … you can imagine!  All of this is just amazing!!!  I definitely am a believer of how God’s Way to Ultimate Health can save your life!! Love those survival bars!!

The best part of all this is that my husband has become even a stronger advocate than me – he has many health challenges and at first he was skeptical and “humored” me … still eating chicken, EGGS, etc., etc. but as he watched the change in me he “made the switch” and he is now not only a believer and verbal advocate but a shadow of himself!  What can I say? But … thank you, thank you, thank you to Sherry and Dave who are absolutely the most wonderful, sweetest and supportive ministers of good health!
