I was in an automobile accident which in 1994 required me to have knee surgery. Eventually Arthritis set in causing me constant pain. I work for the Railroad which means a lot of bending, climbing, stretching and jumping. I run for switches and have to climb train cars that are about chest high. Not an easy accomplishment for someone with knee injuries.

I was happy being a bread and butter addict (globs of butter), loved my sugar, chocolate ice cream and oh, those honey buns. My favorite sandwich was a Hershey and Snicker Bar Sandwich!

In December 2004, I had a bout with Kidney Stones. My Urologist said my urine was off the charts. I couldn’t understand that, because I drank plenty of liquids all day - Pepsi and Coke! I was feeling very heavy and sluggish. My Doctor told me I needed a stress test. I was feeling neck pressure and aches in my joints. He told me I had severe heart problems, that I had 50-70% artery blockage and that I would need a Catheterization. I had to walk around with Nitro in my pocket in case the neck pain worsened or I was about to have a heart attack. I got scared and called Deanna remembering her ranting about a Hallelujah Diet. I thought she was crazy! What, no meat? Why, I’m a Railroad man and I need my meat to do my physical job. She convinced me to go to the Back to Eden Support Meeting – I started to get excited after hearing some of the testimonies.

In January 2005, I became known as the “Carrot Doctor” at work. I’m excited – my profile shot looks quite different now. I’ve gone from a size XXL to a Medium. My size 44 overalls swim on my new 36 inch waist. I’ve lost 55 pounds, have no knee pain and lock ups are gone, my allergies are gone, my Cholesterol is great, I no longer have that neck pressure and an extra bonus – I don’t need deodorant anymore. My blood pressure is getting under control and I can’t wait to go to my Doctor because I suspect my arteries will show improvement.

The Hallelujah Diet has given me a new life! I feel good all the time and haven’t been sick since I started this diet – even though all my co-workers have been sick with colds, flu, etc. Everyone needs to be on this program – just have them call me and I will tell them all the reasons why!
