Cancerous Football-Sized Tumor is Gone!
Claudia Gomez
My family and I were visiting friends in Spain for two months. I started to notice that my left leg was getting heavier and that the back part was getting bigger. No woman wants bigger thighs! The first doctor I went to told me that it was a piece of fat. FAT? Does fat accumulate in one spot like that? Upon first notice, the size was about the size of my fist, but within two months it had grown to the size of a FOOTBALL. (15 x 10 cm). Can you even imagine carrying the weight of that tumor around with you all day? It was diagnosed as Sarcoma – a very fast growing and aggressive cancer.
After the enormous growth of my leg, I went to Moffit in Tampa and they did a biopsy and on November 5, 2008, I had the tumor removed. On November 8th it was found that it had metastasized to my left lung and caused me great difficulty in breathing. The suggested course of treatment was chemo and radiation. My first thought, was I did not want to loose my beautiful hair.
My friend, Mother Andrea of Jesus of Spain, a Catholic nun and a dear friend for many years, was praying for me – for wisdom and for cure – and that Jesus would lead the way to wellness for me. She felt that the Lord told her to go to her computer. She obediently went to her computer and she immediately found the Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center in Plant City, Florida.
Mother Andrea also called Sherry Orcutt from the Lifestyle Center and after talking to her she was sure that the Hallelujah Lifestyle was what God wanted to use to heal me. Mother Andrea called me and told me to call Sherry right away. In February 2009, my whole family made the trip to Plant City to speak with the Orcutts and to see the Center. She suggested to aggressively rebuild my immune system and told me how to do it. My family and I set to the task immediately.
My family and I decided to go to Hallelujah Acres in Shelby, NC and we met Rev. George Malkmus and to hear his Seminar. Remember us Rev. Malkmus? We are the family from Columbia!
After realizing that my lung mass had grown by three times, Moffit suggested two months of Chemotherapy and Radiation (which I did in February and March 2009 – 70 terrible days). The cancer I had was very aggressive and they gave me 7 months to live. Of course, I was scared. The radiation severely burned my leg leaving a large black mass of burned looking flesh. I do believe I did not loose all my hair from the Chemo, because of the Hallelujah Diet. Yes, I did do two months of Chemo and Radiation (March and April) but my family and I also decided that we were going to go on the Hallelujah Diet at the same time. As I sat in that “chemo chair” my family brought me carrot/green juices every hour. The chemo made me so sick and the radiation burned me so bad, I could not eat which was probably a blessing in disguise. All I could do was juice, and juice and juice. I lived on Greens and Carrot juice for a solid two months. After the 70 days I told them I did not want any more treatments and concentrated solely on nutrition and the Hallelujah Diet.
Seventy days is a very short time in the world of Chemo-Land. Normally, the doctors want to take your immune system down to nothing but the Hallelujah Diet rebuilt my immune system so that my own body would fight against the cancer.
Back to Moffitt – I had three tests done, PT scan, MRI and CT scan – the Doctor came in and said, “I have very good news for you. Your lungs and your leg are cancer free.”
My whole family gives God the credit for directing our path to Hallelujah Acres. It is to His glory that today 6/22/09, I am cancer free. Man told me I was going to die but God has other plans for me! As soon as Moffitt declared I was cancer free, we drove from Jacksonville, Florida @ 9:00 p.m. to Plant City to tell Dave & Sherry the wonderful news. There were people everywhere – all trying to retire for the evening and the Orcutts stopped everything, cried with my family and gave thanks to our wonderful God. Then Mother Andrea and I booked a week of celebration and relief with Dave and Sherry at the Center. It is now my turn to say, “I have good news! My cancer is a thing of the past!
A Friend in Need is a Friend in Deed!
Mother Andrea - Account of Claudia
Claudia and I have been friends for more than ten years. We met in Columbia. Claudia had an economical, religious and political situation and her husband had to move to the States and leave his family behind. Claudia came to our Convent for help. Our relationship was united together through Christ immediately. Last year, 2008, Claudia came for a visit and showed me the fist sized ball in her left leg telling me that the doctors were not concerned about it. They thought it would disappear in time. When it started to hurt, she went to the Mayo Clinic in October 2008.
Then when the tumor grew to the size of a football, the doctors told Claudia that he didn’t know how she could live this long with this kind of cancer. I knew my friend was in real trouble. My very dear friend, Claudia, was in need of immediate help.
I prayed, “Dear Lord, we must help my friend!” I am the Superior Mother of two Convents, one in Columbia and one in Spain. We started praying for her. One day, the Lord told me to go to my computer and when I did, the first thing I saw was the Hallelujah Diet. Then I found that there was a place in Floirida, not far from where Claudia and her family now live. I called Sherry and knew that this is where the Lord wanted Claudia to go.
After Claudia’s surgery, I left Spain to go to her home to help her juice, recuperate and to be a prayerful support to her and her family (my family). I stayed with her for two months. I noticed Claudia was getting weak and tired and loosing faith. I too started to worry because I had watched my Mother die of cancer. I’ve watched people with Cancer. It’s a destructive, evil disease that robs us, at times, of our focus on God. People appear to loose hope and start to go through a very dark tunnel of fear. The medical community enhances that fear. The chemo would make her look ugly – not my beautiful friend Claudia. It hurts my heart. Your emotions balance between life and death – but we must CHOOSE life and the healing that Jesus promises us.
I started to help her in the Spiritual, prayer and trust. “Come Holy Spirit, Come I prayed and sang.” The Holy Spirit began to minister to her and I watched her faith return to her. The Hallelujah nutrition was working – the bad cells were leaving her body.
The dark tunnel is now a bright light – the light of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He filled that dark tunnel of fear and despair and replaced it with complete restoration and wellness. My friend now lives cancer free. Thank you most of all to Jesus for answered prayer. Thank you Hallelujah Acres, Rev. Malkmus, and Dave and Sherry for the work you do for our Lord. Hallelujah is the right word!
It is now my mission to bring the Hallelujah Diet to my Convents. I have learned well from Dave and Sherry and have all my nuns juicing, exercising, and preparing and eating more raw foods. I expect great testimonies from my Sisters and Brothers in Christ.
Editor: After Claudia was declared free of all cancer, Mother Andrea and Claudia came through the Hallelujah Program in Plant City. This Editor was so blessed to see the true and awesome friendship that they share. Many miles separate them but the bond of Jesus holds us close together. Friendship is a gift of God and we were privileged to witness the love between these two special women – so many worlds apart. The freedom of laughter, loving life, knowing that you WILL be there for your family as they grow was so evident on the beautiful smiling faces of these two very special friends. Claudia chose Life and was willing to work for it.
