God designed our bodies to be ALKALINE, however, the acidic Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) has created an acidic environment for our body to live with. We cannot thrive when our body is acidic.
The pH of your body needs to remain ALKALINE and will seek to retain pH balance. Just as your body regulates its temperature in a rigid manner, it will also try to preserve its pH in a very narrow range – especially in the blood.
As a matter of fact, your body will go to such great lengths to keep the pH of your blood in a range between 7.35 – 7.45 that it will even create stress on other tissues or body systems to do so.
Chronic acidity in your body will interrupt ALL cellular activities and functions – it interferes with life itself. When the pH of your body gets out of balance by becoming too acidic, you may experience low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion, aches and pains and even more serious disorders. Does all this sound familiar to you? Our body design strives to keep our organs, blood, fluids and tissues functioning properly. In order to do that effectively, each part of your body must operate in its optimal pH range. When your body is overly burdened trying to compensate for pH imbalances, it suffers immensely. This excess stress eventually leads to toxicity and illness.
If your pH is left unchecked, acidification may contribute or directly lead to arthritis, blood pressure abnormalities, blood sugar challenges, digestive problems, fungal problems (Candida and Yeast), headaches, heartburn and acid reflux, hot flashes, inflammation of joints, insomnia, lack of energy, premature aging, skin problems, stiffness, stress and tension, weight issues and other disorders. Whew!! This condition leads to toxicity, which leads to the overgrowth of bacteria pathogens, yeasts, fungi and parasites which can eventually lead to illness. This means your body is operating in a dysfunctional, acidic and toxic state. By the way, cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment – only an acidic one.
What about weight gain? We have so many who question us about their unexplained weight gain. Sometimes, it does appear they are doing most things right – so why the weight gain? FAT is an excellent binding agent. Your body will use fat when necessary to bind and store toxins in your body. Your weight problem is more complex than simply a metabolic problem – it’s really an ACID problem. The body creates acidity at the cellular level. Cells have a positive electrical charge on the inside (acid), and a negative electrical charge on the outside (alkaline). Once the negative charges of cells are stripped away, cells begin to stick together like glue. We must take steps to keep our pH alkaline – 7.0 to 7.4 -- this will keep our cells functioning properly so we can remain healthy.
Our SAD diet is an acidifying one. Eating large amounts of processed, dead, packaged and cooked foods on top of too much meat, sugar, coffee and alcohol over the years and decades takes a serious toll on your biochemistry. The good news is our body is very resilient and you can begin to reverse the damaging effects. When you feed your body alkaline foods and juices (the ones God created without man’s help), your body properly detoxifies bringing our body into balance.
Folks, here is just another reason that the Standard American Diet is detrimental to our health. Sounds like the Hallelujah Diet is conducive to helping us get alkaline. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and beans will all help you to reverse this acidic problem. The New Year is coming upon us soon.
